The entrepreneurial spirit in the country of 35 hours

Issue content

Title :  Summaries of the file. The entrepreneurial spirit in the country of 35 hours
Abstract :  Summary in 100 words. The present file examines the psychosociological frictions likely to emerge between the French providential system which takes 50% of the GDP to redistribute 30% and consume 20%, and the private sector which works according to the spirit of enterprise and of which France needs to regain its competitiveness in the race caused by globalization. Currently, civil society is permeated by a providential mindset that is not conducive to entrepreneurship. Yet, the country has a support for the creation of companies in search of performance. However, for entrepreneurship to develop in France, the reverse would be the case: an entrepreneurial society and providential help ...

Title :  The generation of 35 hours in the face of entrepreneurship. A double constraint that summons Gresham's law
Author(s) :  Christian, Bourion
Abstract :  The author argues that the development of Entrepreneurship through several State incentives is based on the social model aimed at solving unemployment, which has proved unsuccessful in France. According to the author, this shows a paradoxical situation - multiple and increasing state aids without any impact on creation. This article proposes to evaluate on the one hand the different initiatives undertaken in French Speaking countries to develop entrepreneurship and on the other hand, the legal, economic and fiscal measures and policies that actually invalidate the interest to create an enterprise.

Title :  Support for business creation: from narcissism to resource sharing. The example of a network to help start a business
Author(s) :  Franck, Barès ; Renaud, Muller
Abstract :  This article highlights an increasing sense of competition between institutions accompanying the creation of firms (local authorities, public sector financial help, private consulting and training companies, banks, etc.). Such institutions, in order to protect their own interests in terms of professional legitimacy or short-term profitability, often prove to be obstacles to long-term creation strategies. The aim of this article is to appropriate questions about the “symbolic” resources which go beyond strategies link to the simple need to survive economically which, alone, do not guarantee the best possible support for entrepreneurs. The concept of the “donation” will be discussed as a pivotal means of understanding the obstacles identified within a network of enterprise creation support agencies. This approach will support those practices which facilitate the emergence of none solid relationships between players involved in accompanying enterprise creators whilst respecting their independence and their own professional interests.

Title :  Support for project leaders through entrepreneurial coaching
Author(s) :  Mohamed, Bayad ; Sybille, Persson
Abstract :  Teaching entrepreneurship requires questioning on the contents as much as the means made available. Regarding this last point, the aim of the paper is to highlight the phenomenon of coaching within its current scope of expression. To do that, it is necessary to present what we understand by the notion of a project and the contribution of this idea to the teaching of entrepreneurship. Secondly, the accompanying of project owners is described as an educational process necessary to steer the entrepreneurial project. From these structural elements, the coaching process is presented through many definitions given by the main professional federations and numerous practionners.

Title :  Entrepreneurship: the dynamism of French from Vietnamese immigration?
Author(s) :  Olivier, Quang-Tri Truong
Abstract :  We have observed that, similarly to the birth-rate recorded amongst the different types of population, French entrepreneurs with foreign origins – vietnamese origins specifically – show greater dynamism than native French entrepreneurs. This study attempts to shed light on such a phenomenon and to answer to a number of questions – Is this linked to the fact that such a population corresponds to a lesser secured category of people who are constrained to start from scratch again? Is it the result of the full achievement of an immigration process? Does the way identity is dealt with the hosting country have an influence? What is retained, what is given up? For example, why are French citizens with Vietnamese origins less efficient entrepreneurs than American citizens with Vietnamese origins?

Title :  At the beginning, there is the wage ...A genealogical approach to business creation
Author(s) :  Bernard, Girard
Abstract :  Why do so many small businesses stay small? The usual answers to this question are the size of their market, the capabilities of their leaders, the economic institutions, the regulations and the government interference. This paper introduces another explanation based on the biography of the entrepreneurs. It separates entrepreneurs into three groupes : those who created their business because they coould not find a salaried job, those who wanted to escape the discipline and rules of large firms, those who seized, while working in a large company, a business opportunity. Only the entrepreneurs belonging to this last category have the ambition and, usually, the means to build growing firms.
