Validation of a proposal and review process
 
  1. The proposal is evaluated by the editorial board within a period not exceeding four weeks (excluding holidays);
  2. If the proposal is accepted, the special issue guest editor writes a call for papers explaining the interest of their proposal for the journal and its readers. He must express his expectations towards the contributors and propose a tentative timetable for the special issue. The publication process for the special issue is supervised by one of the journal's editors;
  3. RIPCO Editor-in-Chief appoints one of the journal's Associate Editors to ensure adherence to journal standards during the entire process of submitting and reviewing articles for special issue.
  4. Manuscripts are submitted online (https://www.manuscriptmanager.net/ripco) and are evaluated at least double-blind, according to the same procedure applied for articles in regular issues of the journal;
  5. The guest editor ensures that RIPCO writing standards are respected, only the best contributions with high scientific standing are selected for the special issue, and the ethics of contributors regarding plagiarism and the parallel submission of their article to other journals.
