His teaching and research work focuses on contemporary issues related to the challenges of human resources management and public management faced by public organizations. In particular, he and his team conduct research on the impacts of the New Ways of Working on the performance and well-being of public employees. He is also interested in the effects of forced telework, in connection with the Covid-19 health crisis, on employees. In addition, he is conducting research on the organizational resilience of justice institutions (police, prisons, courts) in times of organizational crisis. He is also investigating the use of so-called 'high performance' HRM practices in Swiss municipalities. Finally, he is interested in the work of 'street-level bureaucrats', their constraints, their adaptation strategies and their resistance to 'ordinary politicization'. Another long-standing research interest is public service motivation, a specificity of public HRM.
He is the author and co-author of numerous books and scientific articles on the different topics mentioned above and has received scientific awards and prizes for several of his scientific productions. |
