Full Professor Silvester Ivanaj has been teaching at the ICN Business School  since 1996. Since he has been active in the field of research in engineering and management for twenty-two years, his experience led him to gradually assess and use the relevancy of transdisciplinary integrative approaches to explore and tackle increasingly complex management-related issues. Moreover, two long sojourns at the Georgia Tech College of Management, Atlanta, as a visiting scholar, helped him nurture his international profile as a researcher.

During an illustrious 18-year career in teaching, Silvester has taught students and scholars at the Masters, MBA and PhD levels in various domains such as management information systems, eco-technologies and eco-innovation, management informatics, management research methodology, management statistics and quantitative methods. His academic experience (in both research and pedagogy) allowed him to support the ARTEM alliance, alliance ARTEM, a gathering of three schools in Nancy: l’École Nationale Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ENSAD), l’École des Mines de Nancy and ICN Business School. Since 2010, he has been ICN Business School’s spokesperson at the ARTEM Research Committee.

Most of his scholarly works deal with a systemic and multi-disciplinary approach, often by cooperating with international and European or North-American research groups. His research interests are at the interface of various disciplinary fields, whether it is in organizational behavior, (team performance, management of virtual teams, monitoring, coaching), information systems and education sciences (quality of e-learning devices, e-learners’ behaviors), information systems and human resources, marketing and sustainable development, responsible consumption, and strategy and development (multinational strategies for sustainable development and social responsibility), innovation and sustainable technologies, among others.

A well-known researcher at Université de Lorraine’s CEREFIGE since 2009, Silvester is attached to the SORH team (Strategy, Organization, Human Resources). In this regard, he has accompanied and co-directed several doctoral theses and PhDs. His publications include dozens of academic articles, a dozen chapters in books with an international dimension that he has written and / or directed. Silvester is also leading two important research projects: the international conference MESD (Multinational Entreprises and Sustainable Development), now preparing its 6th edition, in connection with the association of the same name for which he holds the presidency; as well as the IRCASE Chair (International Research Chair in Art and Sustainable Enterprise).

Member of scientific committees or organizations of national and international academic congresses, Silvester already has a long experience in editorial matters. In particular, he acts as Managing Guest Editor for renowned journals, ensuring in this context or in parallel, the regular evaluation of the work of his peers.
