Full Professor Silvester Ivanaj has been teaching at the ICN Business School since 1996. Since he has been active in the field of research in engineering and management for twenty-two years, his experience led him to gradually assess and use the relevancy of transdisciplinary integrative approaches to explore and tackle increasingly complex management-related issues. Moreover, two long sojourns at the Georgia Tech College of Management, Atlanta, as a visiting scholar, helped him nurture his international profile as a researcher.
During an illustrious 18-year career in teaching, Silvester has taught students and scholars at the Masters, MBA and PhD levels in various domains such as management information systems, eco-technologies and eco-innovation, management informatics, management research methodology, management statistics and quantitative methods. His academic experience (in both research and pedagogy) allowed him to support the ARTEM alliance, alliance ARTEM, a gathering of three schools in Nancy: l’École Nationale Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ENSAD), l’École des Mines de Nancy and ICN Business School. Since 2010, he has been ICN Business School’s spokesperson at the ARTEM Research Committee.
Most of his scholarly works deal with a systemic and multi-disciplinary approach, often by cooperating with international and European or North-American research groups. His research interests are at the interface of various disciplinary fields, whether it is in organizational behavior, (team performance, management of virtual teams, monitoring, coaching), information systems and education sciences (quality of e-learning devices, e-learners’ behaviors), information systems and human resources, marketing and sustainable development, responsible consumption, and strategy and development (multinational strategies for sustainable development and social responsibility), innovation and sustainable technologies, among others.
