Professor at the School of Management Sciences and holder of the Chair of Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development of UQAM (CRSDD) for more than 15 years, Corinne Gendron’s expertise lies within social and environmental responsibility, innovation and social acceptability, as well as corporate governance.
Dr. Gendron has written more than a dozen books and over fifty research articles such as, Repenser la RSE. L’école de Montréal. Paris: Armand Colin, 2013, Ecological Modernization and Business Leaders. Regulation Theory and Sustainable Development, London : Routledge, 2012, Vous avez dit développement durable?, 2ième éd., Les Presses internationales Polytechnique, 2012, and articles in the Journal of Cleaner Production and in the Journal of Business Ethics. A lawyer and holding an MBA in marketing and finance, she holds a Ph.D in sociology from the UQUAM, which was given the l’Institut de recherche en économie (IRÉC) grant.
Throughout her career, she has been a visiting professor at many universities and holds a seat at the INERIS and IFSTTAR scientific councils while serving as a member of many others (Engie, I-Site Future, L’Oréal). In Québec, she is additionally a member of the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement and was appointed a member of the Comité de l’Évaluation environnementale stratégique sur les gaz de schiste. She also is a member of the UQAM Executive Board.
Throughout the years, Corinne Gendron obtained many prizes and honorific distinctions, like the 2006 Hommage Prize, and the 2016 Carrière en recherche from the l’UQAM’s École des sciences de la gestion. In 2014, she was appointed Academician at the French Academy of Technology, and also received the prestigious distinction of Chevalier of the National Order of the French Legion of Honor in 2015. |
