Résumé :  Given their consistent deployment on the job market, the weak loyalty assigned to the Ys represents a major stake which questions the HRM practices. In particular, an adaptive human resource management must take into account the new rules of the organizational game – through understanding its Y actors – in the perspective of an in-context retention. How must the “Y Generation” phenomenon be understood for human resource management ? This qualitative and exploratory work proposes to study the expectations of future Y managers involved in a graduate program and who will hold managing positions. The hermeneutic approach is distinct from the classic quantitative, empirical procedures used for that topic which mainly conclude to the “generational myth”.
