Despite an extensive use of personal development practices in institutions and in organizations, one can easily confuse the said practices with the very concept of personal development which is far from being clearly defined. In this research we first of all operationalize personal development as an integrated concept of flourishing. Secondly, we explore the rationalities behind the use of personal development in organizations such as employee well being, human management and work place health. The third part investigates the actual irrationalities generated by those organizational rationalities. |
