Résumé : |
Democracy, as Winston Churchill once famously said, is the worst form of government, except all the others that have been tried. According to Mary Parker Follett (1868-1933), the democratic process is not an institutional mechanism but rather a collective process that is more than the sum of its constituent parts. Follett proposes to create a democratic community rooted in the local, proximity and diversity. Follett’s perspective on democracy is that of a goal to be attained and something yet to be experimented. "We have not yet tried democracy" (1918). |
