Résumé : |
Women’s entrepreneurship is attracting growing interest from public institutions and academic research. English-speaking as well as francophone researches are following this trend. Women entrepreneurs constitute a heterogeneous group. However, some specificities have to be highlighted : they usually are at the head of small firms in the service industry, their management style appears to be more democratic and to have a non-linear time relation. Some gendered hurdles result from these specificities ; the two main obstacles appear to be their access to financial resources and their access to formal and informal networks. This article focuses on interactions between francophone and English-speaking literature so as to draw future research perspectives. It emerges that social networks as a leverage to women’s entrepreneurship are not frequently handled in their duality (hybrid networks combining face-to-face and numerical networks). |
