Résumé : |
Studies on emotions and feelings role in the process of sensemaking are few. Nevertheless they are decisive and can be a real asset. Self-analysis of a researcher emotions and feelings in an expedition of mountaineers is pertinent to concretely understand how they act in its construction of sensemaking. The results show that emotions and feelings are infused throughout the process and that their regulation (1) allows the researcher to continue collecting the data, (2) allows for better empathy, and (3) a feeling can crystallize an interpretation. Finally, we advocate a physical and mental preparation and a better acceptance of the risk of subjectivity of the management researcher. |
