Résumé : |
The issue of the End haunts management and management science, particularly concerning the manifold lifecycle curves they produce and use in diverse domains (strategy, marketing, organizational behaviour). That field of questions is full of ambiguities and projective loads: do not people project their own mortal condition when they attribute some historiality to research objects? We carry on an inquiry about some paragon of finitude – the theme of decadence – and bring to light the eschatological issue of the end of the ends of our word and, consequently, of human science. Through its never ending attempt to matching the essence and the concrete objects, management science secretly aims at an immediate access to the being that antique eschatological religions called “parousia”. Thus, to really move forward management science should develop a reflexive and hermeneutic reading of the utopic presence to the being they unconsciously quest for. What we need is leaving that end aside, so as to engage in a never-ending hermeneutical process. |
